Terms and Conditions

Payment:

Deposit.

  • 35% of tour cost is required to confirm arrangements. Deposits are non-refundable.

Final balance

  • Final balance for all arrangements is due 45 days prior to the first arrangements date. 
  • If Real Local Experiences is advised by an operator/supplier of an earlier payment deadline, that new time limit will be implemented.
  • Non-payment of the final balance will be seen as cancellation and deposit will be forfeited.

Flights

  • Flights booked by Real Local Experiences must be paid in full to book and confirm. Flight costs are non-refundable and transfers/changes are subject to the airline.
  • Flights are not included in Real Local Experiences’ packages, unless otherwise noted.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellation by you

  • 60 day or more loss of deposits paid.
  • 59-31 days loss of deposits paid. Real Local Experiences will attempt to recoup and refund payments made to suppliers/operators, however these amounts will be determined by Real Local Experiences and third party operators and are not up for discussion or breakdown.
  • 30 days or less, loss of all payments made.

Change policy:

Changes by you

  • After deposit payment is received, and 80 days or more from travel date, an administration fee of US$125 per person (plus any additional charges) will be charged.
  • 59-31 days prior to the date of arrangements US$200 per person (plus any additional charges) will be charged.
  • 30 days or less a charge of US$300 per person (plus any additional charges) will be charged. Please note, once within 30 days of arrangements it can be very difficult to make changes.
  • Transfer of the booking to another name is at the discretion of Real Local Experiences and local operator/suppliers.

Changes by us

Real Local Experiences will always try to operate all tour arrangements as per your itinerary, without any changes. However, there may be times when reasonable changes are deemed necessary for local authorities or by Real Local Experiences. In all cases of changes, Real Local Experiences will notify passengers as far in advance as possible. Real Local Experiences are not liable for loss of enjoyment due to forced changes such as these.

Force Majeure

Force Majeure is any event beyond our or our operator/supplier’s control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples  include war, threat of war, terrorist activity, riot, civil strife or industrial dispute; natural or nuclear disaster, disease (including epidemics and pandemics), fire or adverse road, river or weather conditions; technical, maintenance or compliance problems with local transport; changes imposed by cancellation or rescheduling of flights by an airline or charter, the alteration of airline or aircraft type; or any other similar events beyond the control of Real Local Experiences.

Real Local Experiences is not liable for any additional costs due to force majeure, these are the responsibility of the passenger. We reserve the right to make changes to an itinerary necessary to complete the arrangements.

Insurance:

Travel insurance is a mandatory requirement to travel with Real Local Experiences. Real Local Experiences is not responsible and will not pay any sort of medical, personal accident/injury, repatriation, loss or damage to luggage and personal possessions, loss of services due to delay or force majeure or illness.

Evidence of travel insurance is required prior to final confirmation, minimum 15 days prior to tour arrangements. If this information is not received it will be perceived as a cancellation.

Risk:

It is important to understand that all travel carries inherent risk. Travelling at altitude (usually about 2300 masl) may exacerbate this risk. Ensure you are well informed about altitude sickness and measures you can take to minimise these risks. Touring may come with risks you wouldn’t usually have in your day to day life. If you have any queries about where your risks may be whilst on your trip, ensure questions are asked prior to travel so you are well informed.

Complaints:

Should any part of your arrangements with Real Local Experiences or our local operators/suppliers be below what you expect, it is important to inform Real Local Experiences at that moment. If issues are brought up, an opportunity to rectify the situation is possible, therefore not tainting further arrangements. If issues are brought up after the fact they will be looked into, however nothing further can be done for the travellers.

Passport, visa, immigration requirements and health formalities:

Real Local Experiences takes no responsibility for the passport, visa, health and immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary. You must check requirements for your own specific circumstances with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates and your own doctor as applicable. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel, or incur any other loss because you have not complied with any passport, visa, immigration requirements or health formalities.
